On Wednesday May 8, we held our tasting tour of tacos held all over downtown, Kitsilano and East Van at these restaurants and here are the tasty plates they served.

Mi Casa Mexicana served

Chorizo con papa topped with lettuce, feta, sour cream
Campechano pork + beef topped with cilantro, onion, lime

+ Consome de Birria

Lucha Libre Taqueria served

Carnitas – Slow-cooked fried pork with a hint of cinnamon & orange.

Conchitas – Slow-cooked pulled pork in “pasilla” and “guajillo” adobo.

Toloache Mexican Kitchen served guests a Taco Duo:

Yucatan Cochinita – slow roasted pork, pickled onions & cilantro

Alambre  -Rib-Eye, bell peppers, onions, cilantro and chimichurri

Crab Hot Lau served

Northern Vietnamese ‘Spring Roll’ Taco filled with pork and shrimp.

It was another fun night for everyone to visit the participating restaurants and eat some unique and tasty tacos.
