Our Tasting Plates dining tour around Yaletown and area took place at these restaurants and establishments the other night and here are the tasty plates and drinks they served.
Arabesque Cafe and Bakery
featured a plate of Syrian and Middle Eastern savoury dishes that included:
Manousheh: Lahm b Ajeen, Sujuk, Shawarma Pizza, Spinach
Finger snack: Yalanji (Dolma), Kibbeh
Dip: Mutable
Salad: Tabbouleh
As well as a Sweet plate that featured their Baklava and Knafeh
At Union Latino’s Food
They featured a taste of Colombia and the Duo Colombian snack*: (Empanada + Cheese stick); as well as their Chicken rice a recipe that is eaten in most Colombian homes, usually accompanied by French fries or ripe plantain. It is rice cooked in chicken broth, vegetables, and Colombian spices, mixed with minced chicken breast.
At Sciue
they featured their Tris di Brushette (trio), homemade bread with tomatoes, mushrooms and black olives.
At Trees Cheesecake + Organic Coffee
They featured a slice of New York Cheesecake, topped with Strawberry Sauce.along with a drink of your choice – Herbal Tea, Hot Chocolate, of Latte.

The restaurants and establishments featured unique and tasty dishes to our guests to eat and drink throughout the event. This was a fun night tasting around Yaletown and Downtown and we thank everyone who came out to enjoy on a warm night.
