On September 12th we presented the third Tasting Plates Vancouverevent that showcased 10 restaurants, cafes, & food truck in 10  locations all over Kitsilano including Burrard, Arbutus, West Broadway, West Fourth and area.

The evening began at the rear of Chocolate Arts Café at 1620 West 3rdAvenue where guests registered and picked up their Tasting Plates Cards and then dispersed to the various participating restaurants to taste a multitude of dishes representing many different types of cuisine that included savoury and sweet!

Participating restaurants included: Atithi Indian Cuisine, The Bibo, Thai House, Chocolate Arts, Rocky Mountain Flatbread, Pete’s Meats, Gramercy Grill, Juice Caboose, Establishment and the Vancouver Olive Oil Company.

Tasting Plate at Atithi Indian Cuisine that featured Lotus roots with shrimp, Bengali mustard fish and Taro roots with local potato.

Tasting Plate at Pete’s Meats featured a trio of hand-made/house-made sausages (Lamb Merguez, Sweet Italian and Chicken, chipotle, cilantro & lime.

Tasting Plate at Establishment featured Vegetarian African Peanut Soup, Black Truffle Saccottini Pasta, and Lobster & Shrimp Cake.

Tasting Plate at Thai House featured Beef Lettuce Wrap, Boneless chicken with cashew nuts & roasted chili and Homemade shrimp cakes.

Tasting Plate at Rocky Mountain Flatbread featured a selection of Flatbread Pizzas.

Tasting Plate at the Gramercy Grill featured Pork & Veal Meat Ball Slider.

Tasting Plate at The Bibo featured a selection of 8 items, here are a couple of their pizzas.

Tasting Plate at the Vancouver Olive Oil Company featured olive oils and balsamic vinegars accompanied by bread provided by local baker Chris Brown of Rise Artisan.

Tasting Plate at Chocolate Arts featured a selection of Candied almonds, A Peanut mallow bite, and some seasonal chocolates (shown here) and

House made cookie enrobed in 70% chocolate (shown here) with house made ice cream all from Chocolate Arts.

Tasting Cups at the Juice Caboose featured a choice of the Midnight Express Cold Filtered Espresso Smoothie, The Bandit Strawberries Cacao Nibs Smoothie and a Raw Vegan Buckwheat Granola, Chia Seed Vanilla Pudding and Fresh Berries Parfait.

The restaurants featured many unique and tasty dishes to our guests to eat and drink throughout the evening both inside and outside.
